[ Castiel hesitates, then takes the opal. He's steered clear for a reason... mostly. He can't quite help but find discomfort in engaging in someone else's memory. A strange reservation to have, perhaps, given that he can read memories, but...
Well, his own memory is fraught with gaps and changes.
Still, he takes the opal, lets the memory wash over him, and eventually places the opal back on the table, frowning in thought. ]
I want to find it. The lab.
[ He puts that out there, knows that is why Dean has called him here. Somehow, without voicing the question, it's still included in the words: Will you back me up?
Perhaps not right away, perhaps not without some further preparations. They can take Sam, perhaps Jo, perhaps some other people Castiel knows they can trust. He's itching to see if he couldn't find that research again. ]
The radioactivity might prove problematic. It was still quite present in the dreamscape... And you never asked, by the way.
( dean takes the opal back as soon as cas is done and returns his pocket for safekeeping. he's not about to let anyone else get their grubby hands on it, save for sam and jo. this is something they need to keep between the four of them for now.
but there's something in his eyes, the way they light up at the mention of the lab, that seems to say: we're doing this. at least, once the boys are better armed, because if there's one thing dean has actually paid heed to its cas' warning not to venture out into the woods without decent protection. he may generally have a death wish on most occasions, but he's not an idiot. )
Well, now you're just begging me to ask. ( which he will. eventually. he flashes cas a suggestive smile, but then it's right back to the topic at hand. )
This give you any better idea on how to find it? The lab. Or any idea what the fuck she's doing with nukes?
[ Castiel notices it - of course he does. The eagerness in Dean's eyes, thankfully, doesn't eclipse reason. It's good to know they're on the same page here, that despite him not being the Castiel Dean has grown closer with over the years, they can fall into a pattern together.
Perhaps Castiel doesn't have to be right, just good enough. ]
I don't believe we have knowledge of where the furnace or power station are located. As for the nuclear weapons... I would imagine an attempt to destroy what came through the portal, and the entire island with it.
[ It's not unlike swallowing thousands of monster souls to end a civil war. The ghost of regrettable choices made to save the world from Raphael's zealotry still passes over Castiel's face nevertheless. ]
