That's why we refer to it as a vessel.

Regarding the former: I did have a good friend threaten to punch me if I said 'God works in mysterious ways'.

He would have only hurt himself, but I thought you might appreciate the anecdote.

To an extent the vessel is altered by my presence. As the goal is to preserve the integrity of the vessel as well as the human soul, the body becomes more durable. It has to be, to contain an angel.

So, question: what do you think it means in terms of what we are here if you still require your host?

I don't know if I require my vessel. It would be unwise to test the alternative. Few humans can behold an angel's trueform without suffering for it.

It's also impractical in a setting designed for human proportions.
